This workshop is an intensive full day course, which will include an update on the basic Anatomy and Physiology of the ear, how hearing works, care and examination of the ear and assessed practice irrigation on a model.
This course will be delivered by an Ear Care approved Trainer and is aimed at General Practice Nurses, General Practice HCSW, Community Nurses and Community HCSW (Assuming local policy, approval in place).
After attending this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the ear and cerumen formulation
- Understanding the process of ear toilet/ear care
- Understanding the process of ear irrigation using an improved water base irrigator
This course will be held at regular intervals at each campus throughout the year at a cost of £150.00 per delegate (This list will be updated regularly)
N.B: Each course will require a minimum number of delegate attendance to be confirmed – A full refund will be made to delegates if the Faculty of Health Sciences have to cancel any courses; we will always give as much notice as possible if this does occur. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund if places are cancelled by delegates.
